Deputies: Tuscaloosa gas station shooting may have been self defense | News

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - A 26-year-old man remains in critical condition following a shooting that may have been in self defense.

The shooting happened at the Mapco station on Oscar Baxter Drive in Tuscaloosa around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Officers say two people got into an argument at a club in Tuscaloosa. The argument continued and one person was shot in the parking lot of the gas station.

Authorities say that a 23-year-old suspected shooter has been questioned and released. Lt. Kip Hart says that investigators have reason to believe the shooting happened in self-defense.

Three other suspects in the case have been arrested and charged. Their exact role in the shooting is unclear as the investigation continues.

Deantwan Lamont Robinson, 34, is charged with obstructing governmental operations, hindering prosecution in the first degree and tampering with physical evidence. He is being held on a $15,000 bond.

Terek Jerome Herron-Antone, 23, is charged with carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possession of marijuana in the first degree. He is being held on a $15,500 bond.

Cordell Shepherd, 24, is charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree. He is being held on a $6,000 bond.
