TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC)- The Tuscaloosa Police Department says they have taken a woman into custody and charged her with attempted murder after an incident that happened on Saturday.

Officers received a shooting call on Saturday and responded to the 3200 block of 16th Street. At the scene, they were told that a dating couple had been in an argument when the suspect retrieved a handgun and shot the victim multiple times.

The victim received wounds to the leg and back and was transported to DCH for medical treatment. Police say he is in stable condition.

49-year-old Cassandra Merrit White has been charged with Attempted Murder. She is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
