The Starbucks in Tuscaloosa's Midtown Village Mall hosts a "Silent Coffee" night each first Tuesday of the month for members of the deaf community. The Silent Coffee nights are a time for deaf people to meet each other and communicate over coffee. The state Office of Deaf Services organizes the Silent Coffee nights.
