Two arrested for marijuana in Brookwood | Crime
Tuscaloosa sheriff's deputies arrested two men on drug related charges Wednesday night. Around 10 p.m., deputies attempted to serve a warrant for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hegwood in a residence located in the 16000 block of Blanchett Lane in Brookwood. They found marijuana and other drug paraphernalia inside.
Deputies arrested Hegwood and another man, Scott Brian Mason, 26. Mason was arrested on a first degree charge of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mason's bond was set at $6,000 and he has bonded out. Hegwood is still in jail on no bond.
The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force and Brookwood police officers assisted in the investigation and arrests, according to Sergeant Andy Norris with the Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Office.
